The domestic livestock that we most often feed are beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep and goats, and horses.  Numerous wildlife species also consume the forages we produce. Sometimes we welcome that, at other times we don't!

Each of our Oregon domestic livestock species are described for foraging behavior, nutritional requirements, research and extension program contacts, and media and organizational resources. The final subsection links to information on forage-related animal health problems, with a description of the issue and management practices that can be used to reduce the problem.
